Item Description
Vintage 8x10" sepia tone photo shows the silent film comedian. Photographer's name "Edward Thayer Monroe" printed at lower right-hand corner. Lowe, noted for his performances in silent films of the 1920s, later transitioned to sound films and played in "Chandu the Magician" and "Dillinger" among others. Signed in black ink "For Alfred L. Nieder, Sincerely - Edmund Lowe." A few hairline scratches to surface of flat-finished photo and hairline crack just above Lowe's hairline. Light aging to margins. Signature area remains Exc. Comes with Hake's COA.
