Auction #196 - Part I
Item numbers 1 though 975 in auction 196
Item Description
Brass case 1-1/16" tall by 1-3/16" across has a rim of notched accents and holds a beveled glass enameled on the reverse. Tiny loss of black bkg. at bottom left and a small dot off bottom right. All white enamel on the inscription and log cabin are intact. Some air between the black enamel and the glass and some craze lines on the black enamel are evident only under magnification. The glass surface has a light .25" scratch left of the cabin just slightly visible in certain reflected light angles plus four trivial 1/16" surface scratches showing only with magnification. The reverse brass pin shaft has a wavy bend but this causes no problem. The only horizontal oval design we've seen or know of. Fine. A true rarity.
