Item Description
Brass 29mm. Obverse has his portrait, name and date of "1848." Reverse design is of a female figure representing Liberty, seated on clouds, with a nude child seated at her right, holding aloft a flaming torch, globe of world and rays in bkg. Below on a scroll is "United We Stand Divided We Fall" although this side of the piece is lightly struck and only about 60% of the lettering is legible. Still, overall condition is Fine and about as nice as this piece can be found. All Cass material is scarce and DeWitt lists only 8 medalets.
