Item Description
2.25" tall metal battery with paper-covered cardboard outside covering. 1930s by United States Electric Mfg. Corp. This company also produced a series of Disney character flashlights, see item #1953. Label features image of Mickey shining a flashlight on Pluto, around the sides are Minnie and their nephews. Bottom rim has .25" wide faint band of tan age staining. O/w just st. aging, tiny nick on head of one nephew. However, label remains totally bright, glossy and with vibrant color. Battery itself does not exhibit corrosion or other aging that one would expect from a battery of this age. VF. Rare, only the second we've seen in our 41 years and this is far superior in condition to the other. From the Carl Lobel Collection.
