Item Description
Lot of three. First is 2.25" dia. by 4" tall w/1.5x1.75" wide diecut face of a boy w/big bow tie reading "Thank You" on top. Boy has swing mechanism to make him nod when coin is put in slot. Front of can reads "Not Made By A Trust/Calumet Bank Baking Powder." Back of can reads "Save Time And Money By Using Calumet Baking Powder/You Save When You Buy It/When You Use It/Materials It Is Used With." Sides are cardboard, top and bottom are metal. Color diecut litho of boy is Exc. Second is 2" dia. by 3" tall tin can bank w/front reading "Martin-Senour/Pioneers Of Pure Paint/Paints/Varnishes/Enamels." Back of can reads "The Room-A-Month Club/Home Decorating Bank." Top of bank reads "A Few Cents A Day Keeps Your Home Bright And Gay." Exc. w/high gloss finish. These first two banks are from the 1930s. Last is 2-5/8x2-3/8" tall "Ocean Spray Brand Cranberry Sauce." Bank slot at top. Back reads "Use This Container For A Coin Bank/Mite Box/Safety Razor Blade Receptacle. Send For Free Recipe Leaflet." Lt. silver luster loss to outer rim. Lithographed tin remains bright, clean and colorful. 1950s. Exc.
