Item Description
33x41.25" frame contains original mixed-media art for cover of "Space Wars" magazine Vol. 2 #5 which was published Dec. 1978. Issue was promoted as a "Battlestar Galactica Extravaganza" issue and featured composite art images of Richard Hatch as Capt. Apollo, Dirk Benedict as Lt. Starbuck and Lorne Greene as Cmdr. Adama w/image of villainous Cylon in bkg., all set against star field bkg. w/starship battle throughout. Shadowy Cylons face image at bottom right corner. Art is marked © 1978 ABC Inc. at lower left corner. Art is mainly done in chalk pastels w/scattered acrylic and air brushing. Ships, show characters are cut-out and pasted on bkg., creating a wonderful composite image. .25" tear to Lt. Starbuck's hair o/w art displays Exc. Large and impressive, great original art.
