Item Description
Complete set of 10, never assembled box flats, each 4.75x8". © 1940 G. Milkes Co. Front of each has same design including image of Santa Claus, one side flap has "Merry Christmas" greeting w/area to add gift recipient's name and address. Additional text reads "Ten Different Stores And Houses/Start Your Collection Now/Build Your Own Village." Reverses have diecut designs and are meant to be assembled for 3-D display. Buildings are: snow-covered house, church, gas station, cash & carry grocery store, Central drugstore, Star movie theater, Madame's Beauty Shoppe, Citizens National Bank, Union 5 & 10 store, Dew Drop Inn. All have slightest aging. Drugstore box is missing one end flap and a 1x2" piece from front panel, building not affected. Gas station box has small .25x1.5" edge piece missing from side flap and small corner piece off one flap closure, none of which affects any of the art. The other remain N. Mint. Great design. Rare as an unused set.
