Item Description
Lot of four. All are cast metal. First two are c. 1930s. First is 3" tall "Hercules Cement." Name appears on all four sides of base. Second is 3.5" tall "American Chain Co. Inc./Bridgeport Conn." Figure shows man forging chain on anvil. Piece is left hand is broken, 1.5" split at seam where figure of man meets base but figure remains solid. The last two are c. 1970s. Next is 4" tall "Vulcan/Birmingham Ala." Figure is of "Vulcan," Birmingham's 56 foot Roman god of the forge statue located in Vulcan Park in Birmingham, Ala. The statue is the second tallest statue in the U.S. Originally made for the 1904 St. Louis World's Fair. Only the Statue of Liberty is taller. Bottom of base has foil sticker reading "Made In U.S.A. By Bruce." Last is 5.5" tall "Armco Iron Man/The Straight Thinking Man Respects Safety." Text is seen on base. Bottom has felt w/sticker reading "Creative Classics/Lawrenceburg, In." All are VF to Exc.
