Item Description
2.75x4.5" thin paper card from 1941 ©Superman Inc. From a set of 24 issued for the Superman bread campaign and reverse has imprint reading "Saylor's Bread - Coming Soon - Superman Bread - Watch For It." This is card #16 titled "Superman Saves Troop Transport." Still intact at right edge is pledge stamp. There were a total of 8 different numbered stamps and this is #8. A complete set of 8 stamps were to be sent in as enrollment in the "Superman Junior Defense League Of America" and upon doing so, you received a club badge. .25" pinhole/tear at left center margin. .75x1.5" area of faint discoloration in lower right-hand corner. Fine. Very rare with stamp still intact. Great scene of Superman saving ship.
