14x20" artboard for Jan. 13, 1974 Sunday strip "Death Does Not Knock On The Door" in 11-panel strip Alfie goes for a walk with Sandy and proceeds to have heart attack to which Sandy alerts Annie and friends and they take him to hospital. Pen and ink. Sandy appears in 8 panels, Annie in 5. Sixth panel has New York News, Inc. copyright paste-over. Lt. aging/handling wear. Could be framed for an Exc. display. Comes with 11x14" stiff paper specialty art done in pencil by Tex Blaisdell (Little Orphan Annie creator Harold Gray's assistant) at the Joe Kubert School of Cartooning. c. 1983. Horizontal fold at center with scattered aging and tape residue in .5x.75" area at top center margin. Signed "All The Best...Tex Blaisdell." Fine.
