Item Description
8.5" tall double-sided, die-cut stiff paper/thin cardboard figure showing Captain Marvel holding copy of "Whiz Comics" showing him bursting through cover. Text between Captain Marvel's feet reads "Make Way For Captain Marvel In The Movies! A Republic Serial In Twelve Episodes." c. 1941 as "Adventures Of Captain Marvel" serial was released then. 1/8" dia. hole punched on Captain Marvel's lightning bolt chest insignia as made. Both sides bear repeated images, only reversed. 2.5" crease at ankles and lt. penciling to Captain Marvel's chest on one side. .75" blank marquee space below serial text, likely for theater imprint. Blank as issued. Corner tip wear with one .75" crease. VF but bright and clean, displays Exc. Rare and first we've seen in our 42 years.
