Item Description
Toy is 2.5x4x3.5" tall. c. 1930s. Bottom is marked "Made In Japan/L.W. Co. Inc." Toy consists of two celluloid figures attached to a wood base. One figure is black boy as ringmaster holding a cane while other figure is an elephant. A celluloid tube connects to the toy and a rubber ball on the end of it is to be squeezed causing the boy to move his arm signaling the elephant to rise up. Missing the original ball/tube but comes with green replacement which could be attached for display purposes but the ball has hardened so it could not be used to operate the toy. O/w the toy is Exc. for display. The original box is included and comes with illustrated label on the lid. Corner split on lid. Lt. aging. Box VF. An interesting toy. From the Carl Lobel Collection.
