Item Description
1.75" dia. celluloid button w/4.5" cloth rosette around it. Two ribbons hang from rosette. 10" long overall. Ribbons read "Hanover Exchange Club Horse Show/Fairgrounds Hanover, Pa. July 18-19-20, 1947." In 1938 Billy Direct became the official 1:55 world record holder, 32 years after Dan Patch ran the same time but was not an official record in 1906 at the Minn. State Fair because of the use of a prompter w/windshield. Ribbons are printed in gold w/very lt. wear to luster. Celluloid is real photo w/clear image, glossy finish and Exc.
