Item Description
Only four medals for Harrison are larger than this piece at 1-7/16" (38mm) in white metal listed as DeWitt/Sullivan WHH1840-13. Front has his portrait, full name, date of birth and the initials of the engraver "J.F.T." Reverse reads "The Peoples Choice/The Hero Of Tippecanoe." On this variety, the flag and chimney smoke are going to the left, other varieties have them going to the right. Some extremely tiny bumps on the rim edge and with small hole as issued at the top but overall condition is Exc. with original luster still obvious on the reverse. Scarce in this size and condition.
