Auction #197 - Part I
Item numbers 1 through 991 in auction 197
Item Description
These are all brass and range in size from the largest McClellan at 1-3/16" to the smallest Cleveland at 7/8". All are pictured in Hake Book III with a combined 2004 revised price value of $400. We will give the Hake number and a few details for each: Buchanan, Hake #3020 with "No Sectionalism" slogan. Clean and near VF. "McClellan For President 1864," Hake #3041. Some slight surface pitting on this one but all details and text remain quite clear. Grant, Hake #3133 with his famous quotation on reverse "I Promise To Fight It Out On This Line If It Takes All Summer." Much original luster. Seymour, Hake #3049. 1868 with jugate obverse and campaign slogans on reverse. About 65% luster remains. Greeley, Hake #3048. Front with his nickname "The Sage Of Chappaqua" and with his VP's name on the reverse "Brown." Much luster. Hancock, Hake #3025. Somewhat dark but a nice jugate with Democratic rooster emblem on the reverse. Cleveland/Hendricks jugate, Hake #3271. Much luster. Blaine/Logan jugate, Hake #3139. VF. Cleveland, Hake #3284. About 50% original luster. A nice group covering 7 different elections.
