Item Description
5.25" tall with embossed brass bar pin that has cello "Delegate" insert. Gold text on purple ribbon reads "Pennsylvania State League Republican Clubs Wilkes-Barre Sep. 16-17-18, 1908." A ring below holds 1.75" white metal disk finished in black with a mounted sepia celluloid on the front showing in miniature the famous tin tray created for the 1908 campaign depicting Taft, Sherman and all GOP presidential candidates back to Fremont in 1856. The reverse of this piece has another celluloid in sepia showing landmarks and industrial scenes around Wilkes-Barre, PA. A limited issue for a 3-day event. One of two we acquired and our other realized just over $250. The Hake 2004 revised price value is $270.
