Item Description
3x8.25x11.5" box. Copyright 1930 by Williamson Candy Co. Used by authority of Correll and Gosden. Box originally contained 24 five-cent candy bars. Top of lid features nice images of Amos and Andy at center, at bottom is caricature of them in taxi cab. Text reads "Um-Um' Ain't Dat Sumpin!/A Delicious Honeycomb Candy Coated With Rich Chocolate." Each side panel has "Amos 'n' Andy" name with additional text including "It Melts In Your Mouth" plus different portrait images of them on right and left sides. Box top and bottom have vintage corner repairs. Bottom left lid corner split. Neat, old glue repair. Scattered edge wear. Box still displays Fine. From the Carl Lobel Collection.
