Item Description
5.5x8" w/16 pages. Undated but c. 1900-1910. Inside cover has message to boys and girls from Buster Brown and reminder at bottom "Don't Forget To Read The Riddles First. Then Rub A Lead Pencil Over Each One At A Time And The Answer Will Appear." A similar reminder is mentioned on each page. Also appearing at top and/or bottom is a mention of Buster Brown Shoes or Stockings. Each page pictures Buster Brown and Tige standing in front of a magic screen w/riddle. The first 2 riddles have pencil lead rubbed over them to reveal the answer to the riddle. The remainder of the riddles are clean and unused. Back cover shows lt. moisture marks and reads "Buster Brown's Hosiery Mills Chattanooga, Tenn." Overall VF. Rare.
