Item Description
23x30" frame contains art that has been double-matted to 14.75x21.75". Done in mixed media, this piece recreates cover to "All Star Comics" #3 comic published by DC Comics Winter, 1940/1941. Art was done c. early 1990s by beloved Golden Age artist Sheldon "Shelly" Moldoff. Moldoff signs his name to the art adding "After H. Purcell," referencing Howard Purcell's original art showing the first meeting of the Justice Society of America. Seated around the meeting table are The Atom, Sandman, The Spectre, The Flash, Hawkman, Dr. Fate, Green Lantern and Hourman. "All Star Comics" title is slightly faded, but o/w art is N. Mint. Classic Golden Age art.
