Item Description
By Lido Toy Products, set #2103. c. 1951-1953. 8x11x1.5” deep box contains complete amount of 18 hard plastic figures, each 2” to 2.5” tall in four different styles and four different colors. Box is designed to look like a monitor with cellophane window (intact) showing spacemen which are rubberbanded to cardboard insert. Rubberbands have been replaced. Below “screen” are dials with names of planets Mercury, Venus, Mars, Jupiter, Saturn and Uranus written underneath. Box bottom has perforated “Ray Gun” designed to be folded for toy use. Also on bottom is perforated cardboard “Captain Video Ranger” badge. Unpunched. Box also has 5.25x11” die-cut marquee box flap. Die-cut marquee has image of raised spaceship flying through air with Captain Video looking on at space landscape in bkg. Marquee has faint crease to Captain Video’s head and .25” hairline tear by his goggles. Box has one end flap loose but other than this small defect displays Exc. Spaceman figures N. Mint.
