Item Description
7.25x8x3.5” deep box contains hard plastic radio unit designed like a satellite with 3” dia. Educational Electronics Co. c. 1950s. Box has scattered edge/corner tip wear but remains structurally sound and Fine/VF. Radio is silver with “U.S. Command Space Satellite ‘Moon Radio’” label w/maker name in red. Radio has 2 attached wires, 1 w/hearing aid-style speaker earplug, the other w/antenna clip. Has 2 long metal rods with plastic caps that go through center of the unit. Third rod extended from the bottom of the unit to form a tripod so the radio could sit upright. Also attached to top is a tuning rod and the clip is designed to be attached to a metal object to pull in stations although we have not been able to get it to work. Comes with folded instruction sheet. Exc., unused appearance. Neat design.
