Item Description
1.5" die-cut brass with Mickey in classic early 1930s pose standing on ribbon design with silver lettering "Mickey Mouse Club." Most silver luster is missing from his ankles to the top of his head so in these areas the metal finish is muted brass rather than silver luster. Black enamel is close to perfect with just a couple pinpoints off the upper edge of one ear but not going deep enough to even show the base metal. Reverse has crescent moon-shaped metal piece which slips through buttonhole. The only example we've seen, almost certainly relating to a movie theater club rather than the later club badge relating to the Mickey Mouse Weekly newspaper publication. This is the actual example shown in The Official Price Guide to Disney Collectibles by Ted Hake and comes w/COA.
