Item Description
3” dia., 2-7/8” tall glazed china mug w/English company & Chaplin marks on bottom has caricature image of Chaplin hopping on one foot with text “Charlie On The Hop.” c. 1918. Done in same style as matching matchsafe (see item #1311) and plate (see item #1313). Reverse of mug has tiny .25” and larger 1.25” hairlines but o/w mug remains bright and glossy with an Exc. appearance. An exceptional Chaplin item. Scarce.
