Item Description
6.75x11.5x4” tall hinged oak box with brass hardware. c. 1900. Paper label inside box lid reads “Choice Flower Seeds.” From D.M. Ferry & Co. Detroit, MI. Small text lower left reads “The Calvert Litho Co. Detroit.” Delightful Victorian scene of girl in dress with big straw hat picking flowers as boy and girl look on. Scarcer than vegetable seed boxes. Brass latch hardware on lower half of box missing small hook. Original golden oak finish is retained but slightly darkened. Box Fine. Label has Lt. aging. Fine.
