Item Description
Vintage 8x10” glossy bw photo shows conjoined twins Daisy and Violet Hilton who appeared in Tod Browning’s 1932 horror film “Freaks.” Photo has been signed in blue ink “To Dorothy Good Luck Always Mrs. Daisy Sawyer And Violet Hilton” and has been dated Nov. 21, 1941. Chicago photographer mark in lower left. Scattered handling wear/aging with .75” crease in upper left corner. Fine overall. Photo was signed prior to Daisy’s 1940s divorce. From the Richard Merkin Collection and comes with Hake’s COA.
