8-1/8x10” bw c. 1940s vintage publicity photo with Associated Booking Corp. address with Joe Glasser, President name. “Louis Armstrong And His Famous Orchestra” name at lower left margin. James J. Kriegsmann photographer’s mark at lower left. Great publicity photo shows Satchmo holding trumpet while wearing tux. Probably the single musician most people associate with the Golden Age of Jazz, Armstrong’s distinctive voice and musical skills remain a favorite with fans even today. Boldly signed in green ink “Best Wishes To ‘Conchita From Louis Armstrong.” Lt. aging at margins with some lt. handling wear but still displays Exc. overall. From the Richard Merkin Collection and comes with Hake’s COA.
