Item Description
This item measures 1-3/8x2” counting the wire loop on top edge which is present but usually missing from most examples in the series. As also often occurs with this series, the reverse is missing the paper label which is known in the colors of pink or blue and which read “Abraham Lincoln. President Of The United States. Firm To Maintain And Defend The Union.” On the front of the piece the emulsion is missing from the far upper right edge, an area 3/16” wide by 5/8” long. This is well away from the image and 90% of the emulsion is N. Mint. Extremely clear details. Nice luster on the brass rim. Scarce.
