Item Description
Unlisted in Sullivan/DeWitt, this lustrous 1-1/8” token is a full 1/8” thick. High relief bust on the front with Grant’s name and 1868 date while reverse has high relief bust of Colfax surrounded by his name with 1868 date below. Tiniest wear under magnification including very slightest flattening of Colfax’s nose, but overall condition remains outstanding and N. Mint. Seldom seen. Rare.
