Item Description
At 1.25” in white metal, this is the largest metallic piece from his campaign and is listed as DeWitt/Sullivan HG1872-1. DeWitt notes the dies were made by George Lovett, also see preceding item. Front has portrait and name while reverse reads “The Honest Old Farmer Of Chappaqua Liberal Republican And Democratic Candidate For President Of The United States.” Couple of exceedingly faint hairlines on the obverse showing just a little in reflected light. Brilliant uncirculated luster. Originally in the Joe Brown Collection.
