Item Description
5.5” tall with top embossed brass bar that has celluloid insert reading “Delegate.” Gold text is about 90% complete and easily readable as “Republican State Convention/Des Moines/March 18/1908.” The back of the blue fabric ribbon carries name of maker W&H. Suspended at bottom is 1.75” brass rimmed convex celluloid with portraits on the front along with dates 1860/1908. Reverse depicts pair of crossed American flags on staffs. Other than minor loss of gold tone from 4 of the letters on the ribbon, condition is N. Mint. Rare issue for a single day convention.
