Item Description
Very scarce, particularly in this 1.25” size listed as Hake #2011. Most of these deep sepia buttons came from a small group discovered a couple of decades ago, the vast majority of which have quite noticeable stain. While this example is not perfect, it has only the very slightest small area of tan tone around the bridge of his nose and this very minor discoloration blends extremely well with the rest of the sepia coloration. There is a similar but even less noticeable mark on his white collar at the left side. Both areas are exceedingly minor and the piece displays beautifully with perfect centering and almost no surface wear whatsoever. Reverse has union bug stamp. Near impossible to find nicer.
