Item Description
Lot of 3. First is embossed cardboard cover 4.5x6” that reads “ACWA Silver Jubilee Convention Memories/1914-1940.” Trylon and Perisphere appear in center with text below “New York World’s Fair/Courtesy New York Joint Board & ACWA Locals.” ACWA is Amalgamated Clothing Workers of America union. Cover has heavy creasing. Metal spiral binding in orange (Fair color). Cover VF. Contents with pages for names/addresses are unused. Back portion is designed to hold snapshots, also unused. Contents Exc. Next are two 5x6” autograph albums with embossed padded covers and zipper closures. Each has embossed image of Trylon and Perisphere on the front with words “New York World’s Fair.” First with words “Autograph Album” shows wear to gold luster highlights. Third page has bright gold luster circle that reads “Public School 147.” This is followed by 10 pages of Fair photos. The rest of the book is designed for student’s personal information with area for teacher/classmates’ names. Large portion of pages are designed as autograph book. The Trylon and Perisphere silhouette appears at bottom right of each of these pages. Several are autographed by classmates. Light wear to inked pages. Overall VF. Last is similar format with embossed padded cover that reads “New York World’s Fair 1940.” Gold luster remains bright. Similar format as before with photos of the Fair in the front with pages to autograph in the back. Edges of pages retain a gold luster finish. Cover and contents VF.
