Lot of 2. First is 8.5x11”. 16 pages. Program is from his 1952-1955 retirement period where he tried his hand as an entertainer before resuming his boxing career. Two full length photos show him posing in a tuxedo with tails. Lengthy text of “The Saga Of Ray Robinson.” Several photos show him with celebrities including Roy Campanella, Jackie Robinson, Nat King Cole, Billy Eckstine, Walter Winchell, Milton Berle and Ezzard Charles. Centerfold is devoted to “Fight Records of Sugar Ray Robinson.” Cover aging and lt. handling wear. Fine. Contents Exc. Postcard shows “Sugar Ray’s Café/New York City/The Showplace of Harlem” with breakfast, lunch, dinner times listed at bottom. Postcard has been used but not postally cancelled. VF. From the Richard Merkin Collection and comes with Hake’s COA.
