Item Description
25.5x29.5" overall.  12x16" photo with 3x14" attached paper caption with team names below.  Four teams pictured in uniforms with names "Maples/Vicks/Stars/Crescents."   Teams have corresponding designs on uniforms. Club location was most likely Magog, Quebec, Canada. Use of popular Canadian themes as team names such as Maples and Crescents helps to back this theory.  Each team lists players.  Very early basketball item considering game was created in 1891 by Naismith.  .25" wide trim roughness along far left margin under glass, o/w bright and clear image.  Exc.  Lt. even aging to text area, still VF. Vintage frame has bright gold luster trim on inner frame.  Random chips to elaborately molded outside margin of frame (not offensive). Frame Fine overall.  Impressive, large and early basketball item ready for display.  From the Richard Merkin Collection and comes with Hake's COA.
