Item Description
5x10.5x16.5" tall tin litho toy w/built-in key comes in box featuring image of the toy on front and back panels in red/blue. This is the 1950s version of the toy first produced in the 1930s by J. Chein & Co. The 1930s version is designed w/six individual cars and has a bell attachment while this later version is without a bell and has just four cars. Cars feature illustrations of children enjoying the ride. Front center has smiling face image and the name "Hercules." Base design includes image on front and back of the ride's entrance w/ticket taker plus "Giant Franks/Frozen Custard" stands and other attractions and children. Toy works and ferry wheel spins when wound. Box has scattered dust soiling, a few long but lt. side panel creases and both front and back panels have a 1" to 2" puncture tear. Box still displays nicely and is scarce. VF. Toy has minute scattered paint marks but as produced. N. Mint.
