4-1/8x4-1/8” stiff paper tag pass with hole punch and string for Sep. 25, 1949 championship played at the Prince Georges Golf & Country Club in Landover, MD. Front of card is signed by Louise Suggs and on the back by Babe Didrikson who has signed as Babe D. Zaharias. There is a third unknown signature. This is one of the early years of this championship, started in 1946. Suggs was one of the top female golfers of all time and one of the founders of the LPGA tour. Didrikson is one of the greatest and most accomplished female athletes of all time and was America’s first female golf celebrity and leading player of the 1940s-early 1950s. In this championship, Suggs won, beating Babe by 14 strokes. Pass has lt. handling wear and ink smudge on front below Suggs’ signature but VF overall. Comes with Hake’s COA.
