Item Description
3x3.5x7.25" tall toy w/"Crank Type Friction Motor" comes in box w/illustrated lid. By Yoshiya, Japan. The plain box bottom has large moisture stain on left panel, pair of .25" to .5" puncture marks and a .25x.5" long cardboard piece missing along bottom edge. The lid has aged slightly w/some lt. edge wear. Overall box remains tight and is complete w/pair of cardboard inserts. Fine. This toy was first produced in the mid-1950s but this is a slightly later c. early 1960s version that has plastic hands. It is o/w identical to the earlier version. Tin litho "Robbie" styled body w/plastic dome over tin litho head that features spaceman's face. Attached to top is "Spin Ray Counter." Toy works and travels forward as the top attachment rotates. Has minute scattered pinpoint paint nicks but as produced and mostly on the back. Glossy and Exc.
