Item Description
The Histadrut (Federation) is the Israeli Trade Union Congress founded in Dec. 1920 to benefit Jewish workers in the British Mandate of Palestine. It became a very powerful institution in Israel and a mainstay of the Labor Zionist Movement. By 1939 there were 100,000 members comprising 75% of the work force. This is apparently a delegate’s button for an event of unknown location but featuring a large red letter “V” to symbolize victory. Reverse has backpaper by Hyatt of Baltimore. Tiniest age traces. Displays Exc. Only example we’ve seen.
