Item Description
7/8” left-wing issued button given to contributors with center text “I Gave To Save The Scottsboro Boys” and surrounding text “Negro & White Workers Unite/Scottsboro United Front Defense.” Front includes union bug and reverse has paper from Eagle Regalia of NYC. Reverse has .25” hairline cello split along the collet but laying perfectly flat and creating no problem. Front of the button is essentially Mint. Just this year, these events were portrayed in an off-Broadway musical titled “The Scottsboro Boys.” Hake book Collectible Pin-Back Buttons photo example Civil Rights section #35. Comes with Hake’s COA.
