Item Description
Lot of 22 from set of 25, each 1-3/8x2.5”. Each features choice image of boxer on front, most in a boxing pose, few are portrait images. Text backs with bio for that particular boxer along with English cigarette company name. Missing only numbers 9, 17 and 18. This set featured 2 different Jack Johnson cards, #5 portrait image is here but #18 boxing pose card is one of the 3 not present. Cards have tiniest trace of wear to the black borders with some flecks/dots of missing color on most, but much as originally printed. Tiniest trace of corner tip wear but overall corners remain fairly sharp. All are clean and free of creases. Overall cards grade Exc./Mint to N. Mint. From the Richard Merkin Collection and comes with Hake's COA.
