Item Description
Lot of four 8.5x10-3/8” stiff cardboard cover books by French publisher Hachette. ©1932-1935. Hachette/Studdy Winkler. First 4 books in this series of 8. Titles include “Bonzo, Bonzo II - The Joker, Bonzo Laughs, Bonzo and the Sausages.” Each feature original George Studdy strip cartoons. This same company also produced books for Mickey Mouse and Felix the Cat, both of whose faces are featured on inside front covers. First book has moderate aging and lt. handling wear along margins with 1.5” thin sliver on right margin front cover. Fine. Others remain clean and VF/Exc. overall. Nice, high grade copies, these Hachette books are typically not found this nice. From the Richard Merkin Collection and comes with Hake's COA.
