First is 1927 program that was before Josephine Baker’s involvement though program does feature several great bw photos of performers of the time as well as numerous deco-designed pages. Handling wear with pinch creases and dust soiling to covers. Fine. 1932-1933 program has 2 full pages devoted to Josephine Baker with bw portrait images. Another page of note shows woman in leopard outfit in tree. Scattered dust soiling to covers with pinch crease at spine. Cover has nice caricature image of Josephine Baker dancing nude amongst musical instruments and notes. Fine. 1937-1938 season has non-descript cover with nice bw portrait image of Baker within. Index page lists Baker’s name with “Yes! We Have Bananas!” text. Baker’s name appears several times throughout program and one full page features bw portrait of her. Program also features several bare-breasted images of female performers. Pinch creases to spine but VF. From the Richard Merkin Collection and comes with Hake's COA.
