See Eloise original art #1990. Lot of 2. First is 4.75x5.5” one-sided glossy promo sheet apparently promoting the first Simon & Schuster book published in 1955. Features image of her with text “This Is Eloise. She Is Six. She Lives At The Plaza. She Is Not Yet Pretty But She Is Already A Person. You’ll Love Reading About Her Enchanting Adventures In Kay Thompson’s Eloise (Published By Simon & Schuster).” Light crease on bottom third, corner tip wear. VF. Second item also c. 1950s is 6.75x8” Plaza Hotel children's menu on card stock. Front features art by Hilary Knight of Eloise on tricycle, Weenie in sack on her back and Skipperdee in basket attached to handlebars. Inside features Eloise text and mention of Simon & Schuster Eloise book along with menu text which includes specialty items “Eggs Eloise, Teeny Weenies, Skipperdee Sandwich.” Back has the Plaza New York logo. Front has .5” ink smudge along spine, scattered lt. aging. Fine. Neat pair for this children’s book icon. From the Richard Merkin Collection and comes with COA.
