Disney Legend Boyer based this art on the famous Norman Rockwell painting “Triple Self Portrait.” Boyer cleverly substituted Mickey and Walt for Rockwell. Mickey is shown looking in a mirror and in turn painting an image of Walt on canvas. Exceptional details include small Mickey sculpture below the mirror, mirror itself bears initials “WD.” A Norman Rockwell book is resting on trunk in front of Mickey. Tacked to canvas are portrait sketches of Walt, Goofy and Donald. Top of easel has a “Walt” Mouse Club hat. Issued in 1989 and limited to just 1,100 (1,000 standard lithos plus 100 artist proofs). Lower right has been signed in pencil by Boyer with individual number of “338/1000.” Comes with Disney COA noting edition number, edition size and the fact that these were created exclusively for Disneyland and Disney World.
