Item numbers 1187 through 2776 in auction 200
Item Description
This famous big game hunter of the 1930s had attractions at both the 1933 and 1939 World’s Fairs. In addition, in 1939 Ivory Soap sponsored his radio program and they were the issuers of this beautifully designed ring. Ring base features images of elephant head, horseshoe, tiger head and star. Tiny text below these images on each side reads “Frank Buck.” Text above the images left and right reads “Bring ‘Em Back Alive.” The ring top is an inset ivory colored octagonal piece of simulated ivory with large stamped-in color tinted initial “R.” Rings were personalized according to the request of the ordering individual. This is a superior example about as close to Mint as it gets. A scarce ring and truly rare in this condition. See following 2 Frank Buck items including first seen member’s pin.
