Item Description
The cardboard mount is 4-3/16x5-5/16” with oval mounted photo 4-1/8” tall. Man is wearing a large William McKinley and Teddy Roosevelt jugate presidential campaign celluloid pinback button on his lapel. The button is an interesting design which shows a side view of McKinley looking to the right. Teddy Roosevelt is looking to the front with just a subtle slant to the left. The button appears to be fairly large (approximately 1.75” dia.). The side of the button with McKinley shows all of his head, the side of the button with TR shows about ½ of his head which appears to be due to the reflection of the flash when the photo was taken. The photo has some subtle faint brown spots from age. There are two tiny dot rub surface flaws on the bkg. to the right of the man. The photo still retains a fresh and crisp look. Corner of mat names photographer “J.C. Olson/Lake Mills/Iowa.” Displays VF.
