2-1/16” white metal by “B.R. Haydon.” Obverse high relief portrait and his name. Reverse shows kneeling slave in chains with text below “Am I Not A Man And A Brother.” Two additional circles of text surrounding read “British Foreign Anti-Slavery Society” and “General Anti-Slavery Convention Held In London 1840/President Thomas Clarkson (facsimile signature) Aged 81.” See previous item for description of this convention. Small surface marks on bkg. Very minor flattening of his highest relief hair curls. Much luster. VF.
