Item Description
.75x1-1/16” brass frame holds tintype photo. There is a light and thin diagonal crease line running from 2 o’clock to 7 o’clock and crossing his neck where there is a tiny bit of emulsion gone (showing black, not bare metal) but not interfering with the sharp details of his face. There are a couple of other tiny dots of emulsion off but image remains quite clear and attractive. On the reverse, top edge of the brass frame has tiny hole where a pin may once have been inserted although there is no trace of solder to hold it. This item is similar to Hake #3019 but a different photo. Nice luster on the brass mat. Fine. From the Morry Greener Collection.
