Item Description
While each of these 3.5” buttons has essentially the same design, the blue bkg. version is from 1953 and bottom edge reads “Pennsylvania.” The red bkg. version is from 1957 and bottom edge reads “I Like Ike & Dick.” The first is Hake #18 while the second is Hake #24. The 1953 example is super clean and essentially Mint. The 1957 example has a pinpoint speck trapped under the celluloid on Nixon’s chin but o/w it too approaches essentially Mint condition as both pieces have only the most trivial traces of surface wear even in reflected light. A beautiful pair. Both are Scarce. These two buttons total $300 in Hake’s 2004 Revised Prices.
