Item Description
Base is non-adjustable with silver luster over brass which has brass show-through on the lower half of the thin ring band. The ring sides are die-cut with a center segment resembling a flower plus a leaf design which spreads to the left and right. The top has a rectangular beveled edge cover of glass or thick celluloid with a slight yellowish tint. The corners of the top are intact but there is a pair of tiny 1/32” surface fragments off the uppermost edge of the top beveled panel. In addition, the top has small internal fracture which creates a little cloudiness over the underneath red insert printed with the number “100.” The number is still easily distinguished. Beneath this is a clearly visible “%” followed by the word “symbol” and beneath this is a circular opening. When the ring is in one position, the slogan reads “100% USA.” When the ring is tilted, the lettering within the window opening changes so that the slogan becomes “100% KKK.” The clear covering also has a little cloudiness to the left edge of the window and there is a hairline horizontal fracture at the midpoint of the ring but only showing in circle angles. The exterior metal frame has some surface corrosion but nearly of a microscopic nature and vast percentage of the silvering on the upper half of the ring is intact. Underside of the ring reads “Patent Applied For.” Our last example of similar overall condition with a corner tip off, realized over $900. This is our 6th example in 44 years and we would describe the overall condition as working and VG.
